Laminating with Bio- Sourced Resin

After many years of research and testing, Kun_tiqi uses an eco resin with extraordinary strength and durability. It contains 55% vegetable oil, is transparent and UV resistant. It is the latest development in eco friendly materials for water sports products. These properties are reflected in less splits and cracks in the laminate, compared to polyester resins, reducing the quantity of repairs and prolonging the life of the surfboard overall.

Our wooden surfboards are laminated in our workshop in Loredo- Langre in Northern Spain with one layer of 4oz and 6oz fibre glass. This is more than adequate due to the high strength and density of balsa wood.

The finish has a natural feel and looks as if the boards were not laminated at all.
